Term 3 Online!
10 weeks Long from 19 July to 24 September

BACKGROUND
MBSLC has a long term arrangement with Millennium and now Milford Primary School, to have available the following pool lanes and times for the use of MBSLC club members only. We provide a first class swim programme for the development of all MBSLC club members. The club is committed to this programme which has been running for over 2 and a half years now. We are grateful for the ongoing support of FutureDreams Swimming (FDS) 

PROGRAM OUTLINE
- Morning Sessions at the Millennium and coached by Dean Kent.
- Tues and Thurs nights at Milford Primary School, in Shakespeare Road, Milford.
  Outdoor 25 metre pool, 4 lanes.                  
- MWF Nights at the Millennium.  4 lanes 25m pool.
- The evening sessions will be coached by two of our own swimmers based on a programme written by Dean and each of the Coaches will be mentored by Dean

TIMESLOTS
1. Morning Sessions (Millennium)   5x  (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri)
-  All morning sessions are 2.5km – 4km (depending on ability)
-  Note - the morning sessions are for senior club members only.
-  Mon, Wed & Fri -      1x 50 metre lane (5am - 6.30am)
-  Thurs -         3x 25 metre lanes (530am – 630am).

2. Evening Sessions (Millennium)     3x  (M&W&F:   8-9pm)
- All evening sessions are 2km – 3km (depending on ability)
- They are a mix of sessions more sprints and drills than in the mornings.
- Monday , Wednesday & Friday nights - 5x 25m lane.

3. Evening Sessions (Milford Primary School) - Tues & Thurs.
- All evening sessions are 1.8km – 2.4km (depending on ability)
- Designed for our younger members , under 14 who can “hold” 2 min x 100m Free
- Tuesday & Thursday nights - 4x 25m lanes.
- Outdoor heated pool

OUR COACH
Dean Kent represented New Zealand at both the Olympic and Commonwealth Games. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, he set the New Zealand Record for the 200m individual Medley (I.M.).  Dean also set the New Zealand Record for the 400m I.M. in Athens. He represented New Zealand at both the 2000 and 2004 Olympics. He won the silver medal for the 200m I.M. at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The 2008 Beijing Olympics was the third Olympic Games he has represented New Zealand in.

MEMBERSHIP
If you are swimming only and not proposing to be active in the club, then you need pay an annual one off affiliate membership fee of $50. Otherwise you pay your club membership on the club website separately. It will advise you on this in due course.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Everyone who swims is required to buy their own gear which can be done so online during the online registration process above
